Ian Kasaitis is a dedicated and dynamic attorney specializing in medical malpractice and personal injury cases. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from McDaniel College in 2018, where he conducted primary oceanographic research with the Sea Education Association on the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
This experience sparked his interest in environmental law and ocean policy. Following his time as an associate scientist for a leading biopharmaceutical company, Ian pursued his legal education at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa William S. Richardson School of Law, earning both his Juris Doctor and an environmental law certificate in 2023.
Barred in the State of Maryland, Ian combines his scientific expertise with legal acumen to provide exceptional client representation. He gained valuable experience externing for a leading environmental law organization in Hawaiʻi and clerking for a firm focusing on business and corporate law. Known for his meticulous approach and empathetic client advocacy, Ian is committed to securing justice for those affected by medical negligence and personal injuries.
Outside of his legal career, Ian is an avid adventurer with a passion for the outdoors including hiking, sailing, and astronomy. Ian’s favorite hiking spots have been in Hawaiʻi and include the Wiliwilinui ridge trail and the trails in Haleakalā National Park. Ian has also been an avid sailor and has navigated tall ships across the Atlantic Ocean and throughout the Pacific Ocean, even learning how to practice celestial navigation. His adventurous spirit and extensive research background contribute to his resilience and unique perspective in legal practice, enriching both his professional and personal life.
