Adele Louise Brockmeyer, a third-generation Baltimore attorney, has been immersed in the legal world since the age of 12. Her father, R. Roland Brockmeyer, was a prominent trial attorney in Baltimore, and Adele spent her summers observing his courtroom prowess and assisting with trial prep at his office. These formative experiences instilled in her a deep love for the courtroom and a strong desire to help individuals.

Adele pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado, Boulder, but returned to her roots to attend the University of Maryland School of Law, where she served on the Moot Court Board. After law school, she became a public defender, gaining invaluable experience by handling 20 cases a day and participating in numerous trials right out of law school.

In 2003, Adele joined John Turnbull at their firm in Towson. Initially practicing criminal defense, she quickly established herself as a formidable advocate known for her strong client advocacy, exceptional cross-examination skills, and courtroom prowess. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to criminal law, she was named to The Daily Record’s 2023 Criminal Law Power List.

As her career evolved, Adele transitioned to handling family law cases, now heading the family division of the firm. She also manages protective orders, general civil, and domestic cases. Her holistic approach to client representation and deep understanding of family law issues have made her an invaluable asset to her clients and the firm.

Adele’s extraordinary community involvement further distinguishes her career. She leads the Community Involvement and Marketing Department at Turnbull Brockmeyer, where her initiatives have significantly enhanced the firm’s reputation. Under her guidance, the firm became famous for its generous donations of “Lottery Tree Baskets” to over 150 organizations annually, providing substantial support to a wide range of community groups.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Adele’s leadership and compassion were further highlighted. She secured a company to produce 40 intubation boxes, critical in protecting healthcare workers during the early days of the pandemic, and personally delivered these boxes to hospitals across the Baltimore area. For her exceptional efforts, she was honored with the Chick-fil-A Everyday Heroes award.

In addition to her legal practice and community involvement, Adele manages the firm’s marketing and public relations efforts. Her tireless work and multifaceted role at the firm underscore her commitment to making a positive difference.

Adele Louise Brockmeyer’s blend of professional excellence, community service, and leadership makes her an invaluable asset to Turnbull Brockmeyer and a revered figure in the legal and local community.
