Mr. Gaston, a distinguished attorney, graduated with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1987. He is licensed to practice law in all Maryland State Courts, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. With extensive trial experience in both District and Circuit Courts across Maryland, he has also presented oral arguments before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.

Mr. Gaston has achieved multiple million-dollar settlements and jury verdicts in medical malpractice cases, including a $10 million verdict in a wrongful death case against a Baltimore City hospital. His expertise is recognized beyond Maryland, with other trial lawyers seeking his representation for their clients in medical malpractice cases in various states.

A well-respected authority on Maryland’s automobile insurance tort laws, Mr. Gaston frequently educates personal injury lawyers on trial tactics to secure favorable outcomes for severely injured clients. In 2014, he was awarded the Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Maryland Association of Justice for his significant contribution to the Brethren v. Buckley case. In this landmark decision, the Maryland Court of Appeals found that an automobile insurance carrier had wrongfully denied his client benefits due under the insurance contract.

Mr. Gaston has been honored as a ‘Super Lawyer’ for the past thirteen years, an accolade bestowed upon only 5% of Maryland lawyers. He also dedicates his time to serving as a judge in various Mock Trial Competitions throughout the state.

In addition, Mr. Gaston was one of the original 36 Maryland trial lawyers who provided pro bono representation for victims of the 9/11 Terrorist Attack before the Federal Compensation Board.
